Our Story
The dream began with my great-grandfather, Don Saville, who opened Saville Flowers in 1942 with the ambition of bringing beautiful flowers to the people of Evanston. Eighty years later, in these same four walls, Iβm so proud to be pursuing the same sentiment and to be carrying our legacy into its fourth generation of family ownership.
Growing up in our sweet, sunny shop, my mother instilled in me the passions that have garnered our storeβs success for all these years: close and honest customer relations, community involvement, and the utmost appreciation for the natural beauty of flowers. Working by her side, flowers became an inherent part of my identity and self expression. It has been my greatest achievement to honor, reimagine, and build upon the reputation my family created in the greater Chicagoland area.
Flowers are so incredible for their delightful fragrance, delicate structure, fleeting beauty, and connection to season and place. In our hectic and overworked lives, I love inspiring moments of beauty, grace, and reflection by drawing attention to the inherent nature of a flower. That is my meaning and my purpose.
-XO Mark
The aesthetic of Saville Flowers has evolved from classic European floral design to a modern, bright creative expression centered around the extraordinary and unique. We strive to create a feast for the senses in every bouquet or arrangement that leaves our store, incorporating a lush mix of textural foliage amongst our sophisticated and unusual blooms.
